You have to make time to give back. Volunteering or putting others first doesn't come naturally. It's something we have to make a priority enough to make time for. With that said, It's time for the 2nd annual Pendleton Place Art Auction!!
Pendleton Place Children's Shelter is a home for abused children. Most of these children have been abandoned or removed from their homes due to physical abuse, sexual abuse or unfit home situations. A lot of the Children's parents are either in jail, gone or struggling with alcohol and drug abuse.
So they come or are brought to Pendleton Place. Most people don't even realize that Pendleton Place is in the very heart of our Downtown Greenville.
Pendleton Place runs off of donations, charity and grants. So Origins Greenville- a tiny radically different type of church decided to buy and build frames, buy paint and supplies, spend time hanging out and painting with the kids, and also coordinating an auction at Spill the Beans. The event will be Thursday, August 25th from 6-9pm. Come, browse the art made by the children. Read the stories behind each piece and each child. And lastly donate. Whether you want a piece or not, donate.
Take a look at a few of the Children's paintings.. I forgot to mention that majority of these paintings are done by 3- 6yr old Children....

Only awareness, willingness and a radical departure from the normal can bring about change!!
